CHAPTER II — PROVENANCE

How a piece is made

Every piece in the collection is drawn on paper, cut from sheet or wire, and finished at the bench by a hand that signs it. There are no short-cuts, no outsourced finishing, and no anonymous production runs. The discipline below is why each edition is finite — and why every object carries the name of the person who made it.

  1. 01

    Drawn, never generated

Each design begins as a hand-drawing in the atelier sketchbook. The studio does not use generative design or stock forms; every silhouette starts with a pencil line by Liliana Gonin or one of the two in-house goldsmiths.

  2. 02

Cut and shaped at the bench

Sheet brass, sterling silver, and selected semi-precious stones are sawn, forged, and filed in Lyon. The average piece requires 11 hours of bench work from raw material to signed, finished object.

  3. 03

    Numbered, not repeated

No design exceeds 40 units per year. Each piece is hand-stamped with its edition number and the maker's initials before it leaves the atelier — a small act that makes the object specific rather than seasonal.

  4. 04

    Guaranteed for life

Every piece shipped carries a lifetime repair and re-finishing guarantee. The same atelier that made the work will look after it for as long as you wear it.

CHAPTER III — ROUTES

Choose your chapter

Four curatorial entry points into the atelier's work. Read them as deliberate routes rather than filter categories — each chapter has its own material logic, edition discipline, and lead time.

I

Brass

The Warm Capsule

Forged and hammered brass, drawn in editions of 22–40 per year. The studio's signature material — warm to wear, slow to patina, easily re-finished under the lifetime guarantee.

Average lead time · 2 weeks
Typical edition · 24 units

II

Silver

The Quiet Capsule

Recycled sterling silver, hand-cut and oxidised in small batches. Cooler in tone, lower in edition size, and reserved for pieces where line matters more than mass.

Average lead time · 3 weeks
Typical edition · 18 units

III

Mixed Metal

The Crossed Capsule

Brass set against silver, or silver paired with selected semi-precious stones — citrine, smoky quartz, onyx, labradorite. Pieces where two materials meet at a hand-finished seam.

Average lead time · 4 weeks
Typical edition · 20 units

IV

Bespoke

The Commissioned Capsule

Private commissions — bridal sets, named gifts, re-imagined heirlooms — developed directly with Liliana. 147 bespoke pieces fulfilled in 2023 alone, with a steady 6-week lead time from first drawing to delivery.

"When you sign a piece and number it, you are not decorating an object. You are making a promise that a specific hand made it, and that there will only be a specific number of them. The signature is the part I will not negotiate."
