The application can petition itself, in this case, by filing an Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, along with evidence of the national interest. The two subgroups in E2 visa are:
- Professionals holding an advanced degree. The applicants can have a baccalaureate degree. At least 5 years of progressive experience in the profession is needed.
- Persons with exceptional ability. These applicants are excellent in special areas, such as:
- sciences
- arts
- business
Exceptional ability is a degree of expertise in the mentioned specific areas.
